Full Story:
The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights has unveiled its new campaign for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25th. The initiative aims to shed light on invisible forms of violence and raise awareness about available resources in Monaco. Céline COTTALORDA, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights, emphasized the importance of continuing the fight against domestic violence, particularly the insidious and hard-to-identify forms. This year’s campaign focuses on lesser-known forms of violence, such as economic violence, violence in sports, and violence against women with disabilities. The main visual of the campaign depicts a woman and child breaking free from their confinement and heading towards the light, symbolizing their journey towards ending violence. The campaign also includes a digital book titled “Chronicles of Invisible Violence” that features interviews with professionals from various backgrounds, showcasing the diversity of available resources in Monaco. Several events, including conferences and discussions, will take place to amplify the campaign’s message throughout the week of November 25th. Additionally, different organizations will launch their own initiatives to combat violence against women. Finally, on November 25th, individuals are encouraged to wear a white ribbon to show their support for ending violence against women.
