The 2024 beach season is about to begin, and the Princely Government of Monaco renews its commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of the beaches. A declaration of compliance, based on the previous year’s results, is displayed at each bathing site as a testament to this commitment.
The beach season is a highly anticipated period that offers everyone the opportunity to enjoy the sea. To create an optimal environment for all, leveling work has been carried out on Larvotto Beach.
In order to ensure the sanitary quality of the bathing water, the Environmental Department conducts weekly sampling and analysis. The results are displayed each week at the Larvotto police station and on each site, making the information easily accessible to all users.
The Monégasque Sanitation Company will continue its efforts from 8 am to 6 pm every day to guarantee the cleanliness and hygiene of the beaches, both on land and at sea.
As in previous years, the “Monaco Zero Megots” campaign, led by the Municipality of Monaco, the Monégasque Sanitation Company, and the Tourism and Congress Department, will raise awareness among residents and tourists about environmental pollution, particularly from cigarette butts.
In response to the challenges posed by jellyfish every summer, the Maritime Affairs Department will install anti-jellyfish nets starting from June 1, 2024, ensuring the safety of all swimmers.
The Environmental Department is pleased to present the “Guide to Responsible and Safe Swimming in the Principality”. This document aims to promote good bathing practices, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
