Full Story:
The Government of Monaco continues to improve its housing support programs, making adjustments to better accommodate specific situations. The goals of these modifications include adapting the calculation methods for aid in the private sector, maintaining full assistance for surviving spouses over 65 who were granted an additional room for health reasons, deducting child support payments from household income calculations, and excluding the earned income of student children when determining parental aid. These improvements complement the financial incentive measures implemented in September 2023, which encourage households without dependent children to free up 4 or 5-room apartments for exchanges and allocations. Starting January 1, 2025, the reference rent rates for different types of apartments will be revised. The Ministry Order concerning National Housing Aid and the revised conditions for the allocation of government-owned housing have been published in the Journal of Monaco on October 18, 2024.
