The 15th edition of the Riva Trophy, a renowned nautical race between Monaco and St-Tropez, was successfully held on June 29 and 30, 2024. Seventeen iconic Riva boats gathered at the Port Hercule in Monaco to participate in this biennial event. The boats navigated along the coast from the Principality to Saint-Tropez in just under two hours.

The festivities included a navigation challenge, a 3D experience at Claude Monet’s workshop, a luxurious lunch at “La Serena” on Pampelonne beach, and an elegance competition among the vessels. The competing boats paraded in the port of Saint-Tropez with an Olympic theme, and the Rivale boat emerged as the winner. The evening continued with special guests, Olympic athlete Kory Tarpenning and Paolo Ghigo, head of the competition department at the Yacht Club de Monaco, discussing the connection between Olympic values and the Riva lifestyle.

The Yacht Club de Monaco also hosted its traditional summer cocktail event, attended by Prince Albert II. Beyond the actual race, the Riva Trophy had a scientific aspect, as one boat carried a device to collect important data, such as the depth of the sea, during the trip from Monaco to Saint-Tropez. Sir Andrew Cook and Lady Mirela on the boat Lady Mirela were awarded prestigious prizes as the winners of the Riva Trophy 2024. The next edition will take place in 2026.
