Full Story:
A delegation from the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) has returned from Budapest with promising business prospects and concrete agreements, marking a turning point in the economic relations between Monaco and Hungary. During the three-day mission, a group of ten Monegasque entrepreneurs participated in a carefully organized economic forum in collaboration with the Hungarian Export Development Agency (HEPA) and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Each Monegasque participant had the opportunity to meet at least six business contacts tailored to their specific objectives. A strategic agreement was signed between Guillaume Rose, the Executive General Director of the MEB, and Elek Nagy, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Honorary Consul of Monaco in Hungary. The signing took place in the presence of Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and José-Luis Delso, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Monaco. In addition to professional meetings, the delegation also had networking opportunities, including a dinner at the prestigious Gundel restaurant with S.E. Georges Habsbourg-Lorraine, the Hungarian Ambassador to France and Monaco. The program also included visits to an innovative energy site and the famous Budapest Parliament. This mission builds upon the previous visit of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Péter Szijjártó, to Monaco in June last year, during the inauguration of the new Hungarian Consulate in Monaco—demonstrating the mutual desire to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
