Princess Charlene welcomed the teams of her event, in support of her foundation, to Monaco. Upon their arrival, all the teams were greeted by a group of Polynesian singers and dancers, along with the Princely Family.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the race “The Crossing: Calvi-Monaco” started from the Quai d’Honneur in the port of Calvi, with the participation of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.

For 22 hours, five teams of four members each, totaling 20 athletes, took turns riding water bikes to cover the 180 kilometers between Calvi and Monaco.

At the arrival on the Rose des Vents beach in Larvotto at around 9:30 am on Saturday, the Princely Couple was also present to welcome the winning team, Lionheart, followed by the Rock to Rock team, the Serenity team, the Ferrari team, and the U17 team in last place.

This second edition of “The Crossing: Calvi-Monaco” raised over 283,000 euros for the Princess Charlene Foundation. It was also an effective way to raise public awareness about swimming education, water safety, and sports education.

The Foundation congratulated all the participants, stating that their incredible performance, despite challenging weather conditions, is an inspiration to all. They thanked the participants for their determination, courage, and teamwork, showcasing that nothing can stop those who believe in themselves.
