Full Story:
Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard led a military ceremony on November 25th, overseeing the change of command at the La Condamine Fire Station in Monaco. The event was attended by Lionel Beffre, the Government Counsellor and Minister of the Interior, Christophe Prat, the Director-General of the Department of the Interior, and Colonel Tony Varo, the Commander of the Public Forces. During the ceremony, Adjutant Laurent Audibert took over as the new Assistant Chief of the La Condamine Fire Station, replacing Adjutant Chief Jean-Christophe Masotti.
Audibert joined the Monaco Fire Brigade in 2001 and spent 21 years at the Fontvieille Fire Station, where he climbed through the ranks. Over the years, he gained the necessary skills and qualifications for his role, including expertise in hazardous interventions, water rescues, and rescue operations. He also became the reference person for the brigade in terms of technological risks, a crucial function for a Commander in charge of emergency operations involving nuclear, radiological, biological, chemical, and environmental issues. In December 2022, Audibert was assigned to the La Condamine Fire Station as the Assistant Chief.
