Full Story:
In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Société Nautique de Monaco has announced the second edition of its “Aviron Santé” program (Rowing for Health). This program is designed for sedentary individuals, those who have lost their autonomy, or those suffering from long-term illnesses such as metabolic, cardiovascular, or cancer-related diseases, regardless of age or gender. It offers regular, adapted, and progressive physical exercise.

Participants in the program have the opportunity to regain control over their bodies and return to an active lifestyle. Conducted by a certified instructor with the French Rowing Federation, specifically trained to teach this form of rowing, four sessions per week are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 10:30 am and from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.

In these sessions, participants work on balance, self-perception, and endurance through a series of enjoyable activities in the gym and eventually on the water in a boat once spring arrives. Each session is limited to a group of 6-10 people, providing personalized courses tailored to individual abilities. Regular assessments are conducted to monitor progress and adjust sessions. These small groups also offer members the opportunity to meet and socialize, fostering social bonds.

The registration fee for a full season, from October to July, is 250 euros. To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, two open house days will be organized on Wednesday, October 23rd, and Friday, October 25th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Société Nautique de Monaco: 1, Quai Louis II. More details about the program and registration are available on the website www.societenautique.mc/avironsante, by calling +377 92 16 03 03, or by visiting the headquarters of the Société Nautique de Monaco.
