Monaco will be proudly represented at the Paris 2024 Olympics by rower Quentin Antognelli, making him the second Monégasque athlete announced by the Monégasque Olympic Committee. Antognelli, aged 29, will be participating in his second consecutive Olympics after his impressive 15th place finish (3rd in the C final) at the Tokyo 2020 Games. Despite not directly qualifying in the world championships in Belgrade in September 2023 or the continental selection regattas in Szeged in April, Antognelli has earned a spot as a universal athlete, allowing him to represent the Principality in Paris. This qualification is a source of pride for Monaco and a symbol of perseverance for athletes in the Principality. Another Monaco athlete, table tennis player Xiaoxin Yang, currently ranked 10th in the Olympic rankings, is also in a good position to secure a spot at the 2024 Olympics.
