Full Story:
Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum will host the UEFA draw on August 29th and 30th, marking the official start of the 2024-2025 season. Over 700 guests from the European football community will attend. The draw will determine the group stage matches for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League. The new format will see teams play eight matches against eight different opponents, providing more competitive and balanced fixtures. To decide the opponents, teams will be divided into four groups based on their individual club coefficients at the start of the season. Each team will then be drawn against two opponents from each group. The schedule will be announced on August 31st. The draw will be done manually, with a software randomly determining the opponents and whether the matches will be home or away. The draw ceremony will feature a total of 36 teams.
