Summary:
Monaco is making road and parking adaptations for the Beking cycling event that will take place on November 24th.
Full Story:
This Sunday, November 24th, Monaco will host the Beking cycling race for the fourth consecutive year. The event, held around Port Hercule, brings together professional cyclists based in Monaco, as well as amateurs and families, to promote cycling and support charitable causes. To accommodate the race, certain traffic and parking arrangements will be implemented.
From 4 am to 6:30 pm on November 24th, vehicle circulation will be prohibited on the following roads:
– Quai des États-Unis (between the restricted access area and its intersection with Route de la Piscine)
– Avenue J.F. Kennedy (between the Sainte-Dévote roundabout and the intersection with Route de la Piscine)
– Route de la Piscine
– Darse Sud
Note: This restriction will not apply to motorists wishing to access the Jules Soccal quay. A two-way traffic flow will be maintained there under the guidance of organizers and based on the progress of the races, between Quai des États-Unis and Route de la Piscine, from the quay to Avenue J.F. Kennedy.
On Boulevard Albert I, traffic will be allowed in the opposite lane.
There will also be a one-way traffic flow starting from the beginning of Quai Antoine Ier, after the Rocher Noghès tunnel, up to the esplanade des pêcheurs. Motorists exiting Parking Antoine Ier will be required to turn right toward the esplanade des pêcheurs, as well as those coming from the Rocher Antoine Ier tunnel.
From November 22nd at 6 am to November 25th at 6 am, parking will be prohibited on the following roads:
– Quai des États-Unis (between the restricted access area and its intersection with Route de la Piscine)
– Route de la Piscine
– Virage Louis Chiron
– The first part of the Jules Soccal quay
– Darse Sud
– Quai Antoine Ier (between the quay parking and the Rocher-Noghès tunnel)
Additionally, from November 23rd at 11 pm to November 24th at 6:30 pm, parking will be prohibited on Boulevard Albert I.
The CAM bus line number 1 (Monaco-Ville – Saint-Roman) will be diverted to Avenue d’Ostende, and temporary stops will be set up at “Stade Nautique” and “Princesse Antoinette” (Gare).
The MonaBike electric-assist bike station at “Darse Nord” will remain operational during this time.
