Full Story:
Monaco recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of its membership in UNESCO with a reception hosted by Anne-Marie Boisbouvier, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador and permanent delegate to UNESCO. The event also marked the presentation of a book that was published to commemorate the occasion. The book, a collaborative effort between Monaco and UNESCO, was warmly thanked by Prince Albert II for its contribution to the research process. The photographs in the book, which enrich its content, were provided by Cyril BAILLEUL. The authors of the book, Jean-Philippe Vinci, Director of National Education, Youth and Sports, and Stéphane Lamotte, a historian, were also present at the event. Monaco signed the UNESCO accession agreement on July 6, 1949, solidifying its commitment to the UN agency’s work in culture, education, and science.
