Full Story:
Monaco has joined the operational network @ON to fight organized crime. On April 4, 2025, a delegation from the Italian Anti-Mafia Directorate (D.I.A.) visited the Principality to finalize Monaco’s membership in the “ON” project. The project, launched in 2018 and coordinated by Europol and Eurojust, facilitates the sharing of strategic information among member states’ police forces, coordinating operational actions, and mobilizing specialized investigators quickly. The agreement was signed between the D.I.A. and the Monaco Public Security Directorate, represented by General Michele CARBONE and Director Eric ARELLA, respectively, in the presence of Ambassador Anne EASTWOOD, Monaco’s Ambassador to Italy, and Ambassador Manuela RUOSI, Italy’s Ambassador to Monaco. Monaco’s participation in this project demonstrates its commitment to actively contribute to combating organized crime by strengthening investigative capacities through a new strategic and operational tool.
