Full Story:
Monaco International Hub (MIH) recently held a new competition called Chokolashow, which combines the love of chocolate and art. The competition took place at Tunnel Riva in Monaco. Students from art schools participated in the event by sculpting a 12-kilogram block of dark chocolate. The theme of the sculptures was a historic Grand Prix car race taking place on May 12th. The Prince of Monaco, Prince Albert II, along with his heir apparent Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, were present at the event. Valentina Trassy, a third-year student at Pavillon Bosio de Monaco, was voted as the winner for her sculpture of a Maserati 250F. She received a trophy designed by artist Beli. The chocolate sculptures were auctioned off for charity, raising 5,000 euros for eight Monegasque associations chosen by a draw by the Sovereign Prince of Monaco. The event was sponsored by ViaNord, run by Riccardo De Caria. Caroline Bergonzi, another artist, created a chocolate painting that she later gave to Lia Riva. Prince Albert II and his children also autographed a block of chocolate. The next Chokolashow, organized by MIH and presided over by Maria Bologna, will focus on the world of yachting and may feature a Riva motorboat, as the event takes place in the Tunnel Riva.
