The Government of Monaco has announced the opening of online registrations for the 2025-2026 school year for primary and secondary schools in the public and privately contracted sectors. Parents can access the registration process on MonGuichet.mc (Education section) using a computer, tablet, or smartphone 24/7. For those unable to complete the process online, paper registration is still possible through the National Education, Youth, and Sports Department or the chosen school. Children who are 3 years old or turning 3 during the first trimester of the school year and are Monégasque and/or residents of Monaco are eligible for enrollment. Other cases require a derogation request to be addressed to the mentioned department. Enrollment in public schools is open from January 6 to March 21, 2025, while enrollment in privately contracted schools is open from January 13 to March 28, 2025. Additional information and registration forms for each level can be found online. For secondary education, Monégasque and/or resident students already in the Monaco public school system up to 3rd grade are eligible for enrollment, while others need to submit a derogation request. Different schools have varying enrollment periods, and more details can be found on the respective registration forms. The Lycée Rainier III offers post-baccalaureate programs, and registration for these programs is open from January 15 to April 2, 2025 (1st phase). Registration for classes with modified sports schedules will open from March 17 to May 15, 2025. Derogation requests are required for cases involving residency, sector, and age discrepancies, and they should be submitted between January 1 and May 1, 2025, except for residency requests, which can be submitted until May 15, 2025.
