Monaco recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of its membership in UNESCO with a commemorative book and a reception organized by Ambassador Anne-Marie BOISBOUVIER. The book, published by La Martinière, was a collaborative effort between Monaco and UNESCO, and was unveiled to Prince Albert II of Monaco in November. The book features contributions from the UNESCO Archives and photographs by Cyril BAILLEUL. The authors of the book, Jean-Philippe VINCI and Stéphane LAMOTTE, were also present at the reception. The event included the projection of an immersive video of the “Nouvelles perspectives” exhibition, organized by the Monaco National Committee of Plastic Arts. The exhibition will be open until December 20, 2024. The anniversary celebrations showcased Monaco’s international role in culture, education, and science. The reception was attended by over 70 guests, including ambassadors and representatives from UNESCO. Monaco joined UNESCO on July 6, 1949.
