Full Story:
An investigation has revealed that a minor set fire to the toilets at Monaco’s SNCF train station. The fire broke out shortly before 11:45am, resulting in smoke inhalation for three individuals who were promptly evacuated. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries. As a safety measure, train services were completely suspended and electricity was cut during the response. Train operations resumed at 12:25pm, minimizing disruptions for passengers. The investigation conducted by the police revealed that the fire was started intentionally by a young minor, under the age of 13, who is French and not a resident of Monaco. The minor, who had no previous run-ins with the police, reportedly acted out of “immaturity” and was quickly overwhelmed by the consequences of their action, according to the Prosecutor General. Due to the minor’s age, they were given a warning. The extent of the damages caused by the fire is still being assessed by the authorities.
