The Minister of Social Affairs and Health, Christophe Robino, presented the upcoming edition of “Monaco pour l’Emploi” at the Grimaldi Forum on February 24th. This will be the third edition of the event and it has already seen success with 3,800 registrations, in addition to those that will arrive on the day of the event. Last year, there were a total of 5,700 participants. The forum will showcase different activities in Monaco, including private companies, government employment, and this year’s new additions: the yachting sector and the luxury sector. Participants of all ages, including young people, are welcome to attend the forum. According to last year’s data, 60% of job seekers were French, 18% were Italian, and the rest were from various nationalities.
The forum is not only important for showcasing job seekers’ skills but also for fostering exchanges between employers. In 2024, there were 6,381 employers and 60,608 employees in Monaco, with a 3.8% increase compared to 2023. On average, there were 64,171 job opportunities. Some employees also worked multiple jobs, and the number of working hours exceeded 700 million. The upcoming event will feature 100 companies in exhibition stands, as well as a dedicated area for one-on-one meetings.
The issue of housing is crucial for those coming to work in Monaco, and the government is actively seeking solutions. A partnership agreement will be signed between Monaco, AIHM, and Crous to provide access to university housing for seasonal workers from April to September. There is a significant number of apartments available for rent by employers, and these apartments will be located in Nice.
