Full Story:
The Government of Monaco has announced new measures to combat illegal recreational fishing in its waters. Individuals who wish to engage in recreational fishing must now submit an annual fishing declaration to the Directorate of Maritime Affairs. This declaration can be obtained through the government’s website, by emailing marine@gouv.mc, or by visiting the Directorate of Maritime Affairs in person. The declaration, valid for one year, helps identify individuals wishing to participate in this activity and ensures they are aware of the authorized fishing zones and the applicable rules. Additionally, a marine map and a code of conduct for recreational shore fishing will be provided to the declarants. For further information, individuals can contact the Directorate of Maritime Affairs at 98 98 22 80.
