On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Pascal Faure, the Director General of the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), visited Monaco. Accompanied by two colleagues, Faure signed a memorandum of understanding with Pierre-André Chiappori, the Minister of Finance and Economy, to strengthen cooperation between INPI and the Industrial Property Division of Monaco’s Economic Development Department. The agreement aims to harmonize procedures for the protection of intellectual property, share resources, and participate in awareness campaigns. During the visit, Faure met with startups at MonacoTech’s incubator, emphasizing the importance of intellectual property rights for economic growth. He also held discussions with Stephan Bruno, the Director of Monaco’s Economic Development Department, and Jean-Pierre Santos, the Head of the Industrial Property Division, who presented the division’s activities and future ambitions. This visit highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two national offices and officially marked the entry of the Industrial Property Division into the Francophone Alliance for Intellectual Property.
