Prince Albert II celebrated the prestigious YCM Awards 2024 at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The event honored the great sporting achievements of its members and highlighted the club’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the yachting industry. With 2,500 members from 81 nationalities, the Yacht Club de Monaco strives to establish Monaco as the leading destination in yachting, combining innovation and sustainability. The club’s efforts align with the initiative “Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting,” positioning it as a key player in ocean preservation and maritime innovation. Projects such as the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge and the SEA Index® contribute to environmental sustainability. The YCM Awards – Trophée UBS recognized British sailor Graeme Peterson for his exceptional season, including being the vice-champion of the ClubSwan50 World Championship. Océane Schroeder was honored for her victory in the female category of the Coupe Internationale de Printemps in La Rochelle. The Yacht Club de Monaco’s support for the Vendée Globe sailor Boris Herrmann was acknowledged during the ceremony. The club’s members have also excelled in motor boating and other sailing disciplines. Looking ahead, in 2025, the Yacht Club de Monaco will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cotre aurique Tuiga and participate in the revived Admiral’s Cup. This project aims to inspire young sailors and promote tradition and modernity in yachting.
