After securing a silver medal in 2022 and a bronze in 2023, the Ukrainian team clinched victory by defeating Judo Nice Métropole 5-2 in the final. The final was a rematch of the pool phase, where Nice had previously surprised the Ukrainians with a 4-3 victory. However, Ukraine dominated the final, with Dilshot Khalmatov winning impressively in the -60kg category. Nykta Holobrodko and Maxime Gobert also secured victories for Ukraine, followed by Vladyslav Kolobov defeating the new French champion Luca Otmane in the -81kg category. Tizie Gnamien and Tanou Keita ended the tournament on a high note for Monaco, winning in the -90kg and -100kg categories, respectively. Gévrise Emane, a French judoka and multiple-time world champion, was also present at the event, receiving applause from the Monaco audience. The tournament also marked the 50th anniversary of the Monaco Judo Federation, which saw a symbolic collaboration agreement signed between the French Judo Federation and the Monaco Judo Federation. Despite losing in the semi-finals, the Spanish team rebounded to secure the bronze medal by defeating Belgium. Local teams from Monaco, including young talents like Enzo Toriti and Lucas Berthezene, showed great performances throughout the tournament. Organizers now look forward to hosting the 30th edition of the International Judo Tournament in Monaco next year.
