Two earthquakes rattled the Côte d’Azur and its surrounding region on May 6. The first quake, measuring 1.8 on the magnitude scale, struck off the coast of the Côte d’Azur. Several hours later, a slightly stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 occurred in Italy but was felt as far as Eze. SismoAzur, a seismic monitoring organization, reported the epicenter of the more significant earthquake.
