The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique in 2024 will cause disruptions in traffic and parking throughout the duration of the event.
Histoire complète :
The 14th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will take place from Friday, May 10, to Sunday, May 12. This nostalgic event attracts collectors and enthusiasts of vintage automobiles, offering a series of races featuring classic cars on the iconic Monaco circuit. The festivities will result in disruptions to traffic, especially bus services, and parking availability in the area.
Certain roads will be closed from the morning through the end of the races, including Boulevard Albert Ier, Place du Casino, Avenue des Citronniers, Avenue Princesse Grace, Avenue des Spélugues, Boulevard Louis II, Avenue J.-F. Kennedy, and others. Changes in traffic flow include reversing one-way streets and introducing two-way traffic on certain streets.
Parking restrictions will also be in effect, banning parking on various streets from as early as Wednesday, May 8. On the days of the races, specific roads will be closed to non-resident pedestrians who do not possess tickets or passes issued by the Automobile Club of Monaco.
Additionally, the Monaco ON electric vehicle charging stations located on Rue Grimaldi, Rue Louis Notari, Quai des États-Unis, Avenue de la Madone, Avenue de la Quarantaine, and Avenue des Ligures will be deactivated during the event.
Public bus services within Monaco, provided by the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco (CAM), will be affected during the races. Some bus stops will not be served, and certain bus lines will not operate during this time. Special shuttle services will be available from the new Salines car park, offering convenient access to the circuit for spectators. The shuttle services are free for those with a parking ticket.
There will also be changes to interurban bus lines operated by ZOU! On the days of the races, some bus stops will not be served, and alternative stops will be available for passengers.
For real-time updates on road closures and traffic impacts, visitors can refer to the Waze application. More information on parking and shuttle services can be found on the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco website. Details on changes to interurban bus services can be found on the ZOU! website.
