The Red Cross of Bordighera celebrated its 40th anniversary with a party held at PalaParco, attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco. The event was attended by the highest civic, religious, and military authorities of the province, as well as by the interim president of the Liguria Region, Alessandro Piana, and the national president of the Italian Red Cross, Rosario Maria Gianluca Valastro. The mayor of Bordighera, Vittorio Ingenito, expressed his honor at hosting Prince Albert II of Monaco and the delegation of the Italian Red Cross from Rome, recognizing their recognition of the work carried out by all the volunteers and especially by Vincenzo Palmero, the president of the Bordighera committee. The national president of the Italian Red Cross highlighted the significant contribution of the hundreds of thousands of volunteers in Bordighera and valued the collaboration between the Italian Red Cross and Monaco’s Red Cross. The president of the local committee, Palmero, thanked his colleagues and volunteers for their dedication to the 40-year history of the Bordighera Red Cross. Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is also the president of the Monegasque Red Cross, emphasized the strong friendship between the Italian and Monegasque Red Cross organizations and the importance of their collaboration in helping those in need. He expressed his joy at celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Bordighera committee and the 160th anniversary of the Italian Red Cross, highlighting the exemplary collaboration between the two institutions in facing health crises and humanitarian emergencies, as well as strengthening their bond. In commemoration of the occasion, Palmero presented Prince Albert and President Valastro with two models of Red Cross cars used during World War I.
