Histoire complète :
The Handiplage site in Monaco has reopened for the summer, offering simplified and secure access to the beach at Larvotto until September 1, 2024. The site was officially opened by Christophe Robino, the Minister of Social Affairs and Health, along with representatives from the National Council, the Municipality, the Department of Social Action and Assistance, and the Department of Urban Planning and Public Parking. This service is available for people with disabilities, the elderly, as well as children and adolescents who require assistance with swimming. In partnership with the Prince’s Government, the Soroptimist Club Monaco has been providing Handiplage activities at Larvotto beach for the past 19 years. The service operates seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 7 pm on weekends. The qualified and dedicated Handiplage team ensures a high-quality swimming experience with the help of specially designed equipment such as tiralos, which provide comfort and safety. Visitors with vehicles can avail of a free 3-hour parking pass at the Larvotto public parking lot. This year, several improvements have been made, including the purchase of two new adapted lounge chairs, the installation of an accessible shower near the site, expanded opening hours, an increased team of six Handiplage staff members, and improved signage around Larvotto and the reserved parking spaces. For assistance, the Handiplage team can be contacted at 06 43 91 97 57.
