The Formula E and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have unveiled the latest development in the GEN3 chapter, called the GEN3 Evo. This new electric single-seater car will be introduced in the Formula E championship in 2025. Key features of the GEN3 Evo include all-wheel drive for maximum acceleration and control, an “aggressive” and aerodynamic body kit for closer racing, and Hankook iON racing tires made from 35% recycled and sustainable materials for improved grip. The GEN3 Evo will enhance the racing experience with unprecedented acceleration and advanced aerodynamic design. It will make qualification laps around the Monaco circuit about 2 seconds faster. Thanks to significant improvements by the engineers of Formula E and the FIA, the GEN3 Evo becomes the most efficient, sustainable, and powerful 100% electric single-seater car in the world. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds, making it 30% faster than a current Formula 1 car. Its top speed has also been increased by 36%, reaching almost 320 km/h. The FIA and Formula E teams have worked together to push the boundaries of sustainable motorsport and provide competitive racing. The GEN3 Evo marks a new chapter in the evolution of Formula E, demonstrating their commitment to innovation and high performance achieved sustainably.
