The 47th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival and 12th New Generation will take place from January 17 to January 26, 2025. Following the grand Jubilee celebrated during the 46th festival, which marked the 50th anniversary of its foundation by Prince Rainier III, the Principality of Monaco experienced spectacular events. A Grand Parade enlivened the streets, while an Open Air Show was held in the Palace Square to commemorate this memorable anniversary.
The upcoming 47th edition of the festival aims to extend the magic by bringing together the best circus acts from around the world. This edition promises to be historic, with performances that will push the boundaries of what is possible. Several records are expected to be broken during this exceptional lineup.
Highlights include:
– A presentation of about forty animals in one show, constituting one of the largest animal presentations in circus history.
– The renowned Chinese bicycle acrobats will perform a unique act, showcasing technical prowess and synchronization never before seen in a circus ring.
– A renowned clown from Chile will delight the audience with hilarious performances, promising unforgettable moments of laughter.
– The stunning Akhal-Teké horses from Turkmenistan will dazzle with their beauty and grace, offering a spectacle that combines horse acrobatics, harmony, and elegance.
– Mexican trapeze artists will perform breathtaking aerial stunts, including a quadruple somersault under the dome of the Big Top, a highly difficult and rarely seen maneuver.
In addition, twenty more impressive acts will enrich the program. Young talents from the New Generation competition will have the opportunity to compete against experienced artists, adding an extra dimension to this exceptional event.
