Histoire complète :
The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation organized the Water Safety Day to educate children about the risks of drowning. This year’s event took place on June 18th at Larvotto Beach and involved 95 children from various schools. The children participated in workshops conducted by Pierre Frolla, a quadruple world apnea record holder, and his team from the Monaco Academy of the Sea. These workshops focused on water rescue techniques and familiarizing the children with safety measures such as using a rescue buoy and a nipper-board. The main objective of the event was to raise awareness about water dangers. In addition to the Water Safety Day, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation signed a partnership agreement with UNICEF to support their “Learn to Swim” and “Water Safety” programs in Cambodia for the next three years. The presence of champions and Olympic athletes as instructors during the event aimed to inspire the children and reinforce the message of drowning prevention.
