The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, in collaboration with ODDO BHF Asset Management and Altitude Investment Solutions, has launched an innovative financial index called the Blue Economy Index. This index is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 14 (life below water), 12 (responsible consumption and production), and 6 (clean water and sanitation). The objective of the index is to combine philanthropy and impact investing. It will serve as a reference for creating customized structured products and will be managed by ODDO BHF Asset Management. The index aims to identify companies that promote the blue economy and operate in key sectors such as sustainable fishing, waste management, plastic recycling, and water treatment. The partners have also pledged to support the Foundation’s “Mediterraneo” program, which focuses on combating plastic pollution, protecting emblematic species like the Mediterranean monk seal, improving the management of marine protected areas, advancing scientific research, and preserving freshwater ecosystems. Altitude Investment Solutions will contribute to management fees and product entry rights, while ODDO BHF Asset Management will apply reduced management fees.
