Résumé:
Monaco launches a photography contest for young people to capture the architectural heritage of the Principality and have their work exhibited in a prestigious outdoor exhibition.

Histoire complète :
Monaco’s Department of Cultural Affairs is launching a new photography competition aimed at capturing the architectural soul of the principality. The competition, called “Architectural Heritage of Monaco,” is open to young people aged 11 to 25, including Monegasque nationals, residents, and those studying or working in Monaco. The initiative is part of the European Heritage Days 2025, inviting the younger generation to embrace the architectural legacy that defines Monaco’s unique identity.

Participants are encouraged to explore all aspects of Monaco’s built heritage – from iconic buildings to road networks, from buildings to esplanades – capturing both panoramic views and often overlooked architectural details. This is an opportunity to reveal the visual richness that characterizes every corner of this exceptional territory.

A jury of experts will select 15 photographs from the submissions, evaluating both the artistic dimension and the originality of the perspective on the urban environment. The chosen works will be showcased in a prestigious exhibition on the Grilles des Jardins Saint-Martin from June 3 to October 5, 2025, offering young artists exceptional visibility in one of the most frequented places in the principality.

In a innovative approach to recognition, a committee composed of young people of the same age as the participants will be responsible for awarding prizes to four photographs from the final selection, placing the up-and-coming generation at the heart of the artistic evaluation process.

Registration is open until April 25, 2025, at culture.mc. For more information, contact infodac@gouv.mc.
