Histoire complète :
Starting from April 2, 2025, Monégasque nationals traveling to the United Kingdom for business, tourism, or airport transits must be in possession of an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). The ETA is a digital document that grants entry to the UK for visa-exempt travelers, excluding British and Irish citizens. The ETA will be required for business trips, tourism, and airport transits, and travelers must obtain this authorization before boarding their flights, trains, or any other means of transportation to the UK. Eligible Europeans, including Monégasque nationals, can apply for their ETA starting from March 5, 2025. It will be mandatory for Monégasque travelers to have an ETA for travel to the UK from April 2, 2025. The ETA applies to all citizens of visa-exempt countries for stays less than 6 months, including those from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and other eligible countries. Therefore, Monégasque nationals, including infants and children, must have an ETA. Parents can apply for their minor children. Individuals who already have a visa or residence permit for the UK or who need to apply for a visa for their stay (such as trips longer than 6 months, work visa, student visa, etc.) do not need to apply for the ETA. ETA applications will be done online through a dedicated portal or a mobile application. The cost of the ETA is £10 per application, and it is valid for two years. After receiving a new passport, a new ETA must be requested. It is recommended to check the website of the UK government before any travel for further information and guidance.
