Monaco recently participated in the 11th meeting of competent authorities of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, organized by the OECD. The Principality of Monaco was represented by the Department of Finance and Economy. The meeting provided an opportunity for Global Forum members to exchange experiences regarding information exchange, both on request and automatically, and to stay updated on cooperation instruments and international standards. Over the two-day event, the OECD Secretariat presented recent modifications to information exchange standards, including changes to the Model Tax Convention, the new Crypto Asset Reporting Standard, and the new Model Tax Convention. Monaco’s participation in these OECD meetings reflects its commitment to monitoring international standards in tax transparency.
