Histoire complète :
Monaco recently participated in the 11th meeting of the Competent Authorities of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes. The meeting took place in Bridgetown, Barbados, and brought together over 200 delegates from around the world. The Principality was represented by the Department of Finance and Economy.
The Competent Authorities meetings provide an opportunity for members of the Global Forum to share their experiences in information exchange, both on request and automatic, and to receive updates on the Forum’s cooperation tools and international standards. During the two-day meeting, the OECD Secretariat presented recent amendments to the exchange of information standards, including a new commentary on Article 26 of the model tax convention, the new Crypto-assets Declaration Standard, and the revised Common Reporting Standard.
Notably, key points for the successful preparation of the peer review of automatic exchange of information effectiveness were also discussed. The review will be published for all jurisdictions in 2025. Monaco’s participation in these meetings demonstrates its commitment to following the developments of international standards in tax transparency, in line with its commitments.
