Histoire complète :
MonacoPhil 2024, the international philatelic exhibition, will take place in Monaco from Thursday, December 5th, to Saturday, December 7th, 2024, under the high patronage of H.S.H Prince Albert II. For the first time, the event will be held at two exhibition sites. The Museum of Stamps and Coins on the Terraces of Fontvieille will showcase iconic rarities from world-renowned collections, including that of H.S.H Prince Albert II himself. These philatelic treasures, often inaccessible, offer a rare opportunity to admire legendary stamps that have crossed time and continents. Additionally, the One Monte-Carlo conference center, located in the Casino Square, will house MonacoPhil. Visitors will have the chance to admire exceptional stamps and philatelic documents from the collection of H.M. King Charles III and private collectors. There will also be a thematic exhibition focused on the postal history of the Far East, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in a fascinating culture. The event will feature around fifty exhibitors, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to discover stamps from around the world and enrich their collections. Daily conferences, led by internationally renowned philatelists, will be accessible to all, taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the amphitheater of One Monte-Carlo. Artists who have drawn or engraved the latest stamps of the Principality will be present for signing sessions of their creations, in addition to offering engraving demonstrations. The Monaco Stamp Office will be selling two advanced releases from the 2025 program, as well as three exclusive limited-edition products: a booklet containing the MonacoPhil 2024 block, a booklet containing a numbered and unperforated sheet on the theme of the Holy Year, and a box containing a numbered poster commemorating the 500 years of the alliance with Charles V, including a block of 4 engraved stamps, all in intaglio. The exhibition of global philatelic rarities will be held at the Museum of Stamps and Coins on the Terraces of Fontvieille, while the commercial and thematic exhibitions, as well as the conferences, will be located at One Monte-Carlo on Casino Square. Admission is free for both venues. For more information, visit www.monacophil.com or contact oetp@gouv.mc, or call +377 98 98 41 41.
