Histoire complète :
Monaco has presented “Handipact,” its national policy for the inclusion of people with disabilities, at the 17th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Alyson CALEM-SANGIORGIO, Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations in New York, highlighted the existing actions taken in the Principality to promote inclusion. She emphasized the need to raise awareness, communicate, and provide support in order to rethink the inclusion of both visible and invisible disabilities. The “Handipact” plan, launched in 2023 on the initiative of the Prince’s Government, aims to improve accessibility, reception, and inclusion for people with all forms of disabilities by involving all stakeholders in Monaco. Additionally, nine members were elected to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, including the first candidate from the European Union, Inmaculada PLACENCIA PORRERO.
