Histoire complète :
A delegation from the Monaco police, led by Richard Marangoni, attended the 51st Interpol European Regional Conference in Tirana, Albania. The conference aimed to evaluate and prevent transnational organized crime threats and emerging trends in Europe, through cooperation among participating countries. During the three-day event, the Monaco delegation engaged in various exchanges with foreign delegations, including bilateral meetings with the heads of the Indian and Austrian delegations, to discuss topics such as organized crime and cybercrime. Jürgen Stock, the Secretary General of Interpol, expressed gratitude to the Monaco Public Security for their continuous commitment to Interpol and highlighted the strong ties between the international organization and the Principality. Stock noted that the idea to create a police cooperation organization originated in Monaco in 1914 under the leadership of Prince Albert I, and the 83rd General Assembly was held in Monaco in November 2014. Stock expressed his fondness for Monaco, as it was during this assembly that he was appointed as Secretary General of Interpol. He extended his thanks to Prince Albert II and Interior Minister Patrice Cellario for the support the Principality has consistently provided to the organization.
