Résumé:
Monaco has opened its first car wash that uses recycled water, reducing the waste of drinking water and allowing the car wash to operate during droughts.

Histoire complète :
Monaco has introduced the first car park that uses recycled water for washing vehicles. Located at the Heliport car park, this initiative is part of the government’s water resource management policy. By gradually implementing water recycling systems in public car parks, Monaco aims to reduce the wastage of potable water. Unlike traditional car washes that use water from the potable network, this system operates in a virtually closed loop, allowing for infinite reuse of water. The water used for washing is stored in above-ground tanks for settling, then goes through a biological reactor, filtration, and fine disinfection process before being reused. This innovative approach also ensures that the car wash can operate year-round, even during drought situations in Monaco. In the near future, other car parks, including Wurtemberg, La Colle, and Salines, will also offer water recycling systems.
