Histoire complète :
On June 5th, the Principality of Monaco will be organizing a series of initiatives to raise public awareness about the preservation of the marine and terrestrial environment, in celebration of World Environment Day. This annual event, initiated by the United Nations, aims to promote awareness and action for environmental protection. The Société Monégasque d’Assainissement (SMA), the Direction de l’Environnement, the Association Beyond Plastic Med (BeMed) of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Association Monégasque pour la Protection de la Nature (AMPN), and the Pelagos and Ramoge Secretariats are pleased to share their program and invite the public to join them on the Larvotto Esplanade. The day will begin at 9:00 am with a waste clean-up operation, both in the sea and on land. This will be followed by a waste characterization session at 10:45 am, aimed at better understanding the nature of the collected debris. From 2:00 pm, various activities and workshops will be offered, including partner booths, an Escape Game workshop, a waste fresco workshop, and a children’s Goose Game workshop. The workshops will conclude at 5:00 pm. Moreover, the Pelagos and Ramoge Secretariats will take this opportunity to organize the signing of the RAMOGE Commitment Charter for Alliance Posidonia, an initiative that allows all marine actors to pledge their commitment to the preservation of Posidonia seagrass. Join us on June 5th for a day filled with activities in support of our environment!
