The Monaco Firefighters held a helmet presentation ceremony for four new recruits at Place du Campanin in Fontvieille. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Maxime Yvrard, Chief of the Corps, the ceremony was attended by Government Advisor Lionel Beffre, Minister of the Interior, Colonel Tony Varo, Commander-in-Chief of the Public Force, Christophe Prat, Director General of the Department of the Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Martial Pied, Chief of the Prince’s Carabiniers, and Father Christian Venard, Chaplain of the Public Force, who blessed the helmets. The recruits are from the “Sergeant Henri Campredon” promotion, named after a firefighter who died on duty in 1979. The ceremony was attended by his family. The recruits received their intervention helmets from their respective sponsors, marking the end of a five-month training program. This act symbolizes their commitment and their membership in the Corps. It also represents their fraternal bond with their fellow soldiers as they undertake missions to protect and safeguard people and property in the Principality and neighboring municipalities.
