Résumé:
The Monaco Fire Brigade delivers helmets to four new recruits to mark the end of their five-month training course and symbolize their commitment and belonging to the Corps.

Histoire complète :
The Monaco Fire Department gathered at Place du Campanin in Fontvieille for the helmet delivery ceremony for four new recruits in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Lionel Beffre. Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Maxime Yvrard, Head of the Corps, the ceremony also included Colonel Tony Varo, the superior commander of the Public Force, and Abbot Christian Venard, the chaplain of the Public Force, who blessed the helmets. The new recruits belong to the class known as the “Sergeant-Chef Thierry Perard,” named after the firefighter who died in the fire at 21 Avenue Princesse Grace on June 19, 2022. The ceremony was attended by his wife and daughter. The helmets were presented to them by their respective godfathers, marking the end of their five-month training course. This gesture symbolizes their commitment and their belonging to the Corps. It also represents the fraternal bond that unites them with their brothers-in-arms as they join together to carry out missions to protect and safeguard people and property in the Principality and neighboring municipalities. They will proudly and dignifiedly share the Corps’ motto: “Courage-Dedication-Sacrifice.”
