Histoire complète :
Monaco continues the celebration of its 75-year presence at UNESCO with a dinner organized by students from Lycée Rainier III. The dinner, held on April 11, 2024, at the UNESCO restaurant, was designed to honor youth and education. Students from Lycée Rainier III, along with their teachers, conceptualized, prepared, and served the dinner. Prince Albert II of Monaco and Deputy Director-General of UNESCO, Mr. QU Xin, were present and commended the students for their dedication to the event. The project was part of a pedagogical initiative in which Lycée Rainier III students engaged in a class project to create a meal for diplomatic representatives near UNESCO. The art and industrial teachers at Lycée Rainier III also encouraged a creative approach by having students design a numbered original box called MY75, which was gifted to each guest. Approximately sixty Ambassadors and several dignitaries from the UNESCO Secretariat and the Principality of Monaco were in attendance to savor the Monégasque and Mediterranean specialties prepared by the students. Special thanks were extended to the Partners of the event, including the Société des Bains de Mers de Monte-Carlo, Maison Lenôtre, and SODEXO. S.E. Mrs. Anne-Marie BOISBOUVIER, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the Principality of Monaco to UNESCO, expressed her gratitude to all the partners, especially those involved in showcasing specialized viticulture education by providing wines from the Lycée Viticole de Libourne Montagne in the Bordeaux region and the Lycée Bel Air in the heart of Beaujolais. Monaco joined UNESCO on July 6, 1949, and on this 75th anniversary, the Permanent Delegation of Monaco plans to organize various events to highlight the principality’s international vocation and showcase different Monégasque entities in areas of UNESCO’s work.
