The Permanent Representation of Monaco to the Council of Europe celebrated the 19th anniversary of the Reign of H.S.H. Prince Albert II with an annual reception on July 9th. The event brought together members of the 46 delegations of the Council of Europe, as well as members of the Organization’s Secretariat before the summer break. It also provided an opportunity for the Permanent Representation to announce upcoming events in October, in connection with the celebration of Monaco’s 20th anniversary of joining the Council of Europe. In honor of this anniversary, an exhibition will showcase the process of Monaco’s accession since the first admission project in 1949 during the reign of Prince Rainier III, as well as the Principality’s commitment to the defense of human rights, the rule of law, democracy, and its foreign policy in cooperation for development. The exhibition will be held in the Foyer of the Committee of Ministers from October 2nd to October 31st and will include a film featuring archival footage and the original and participatory work of Monégasque artist Mr. OneTeas.
