Monaco is enhancing its taxi fleet with 28 electric vehicles for the summer season to meet the demands of the busy summer season and numerous events in the Principality. In line with Monaco’s environmental commitments, all the new taxis are electric vehicles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing a sustainable alternative for urban transportation. These white vehicles, easily recognizable, will offer fixed-rate rides within Monaco for €18 (without additional charges for traffic or waiting time) and to neighboring municipalities for a fixed rate of €25. In case of high demand, the seasonal taxis may also cover longer routes between Menton and Nice. During major events in Monaco, these taxis will be available for reservations to Nice Airport, Gare de Nice, or the city center throughout the day and during the early hours of the morning (5-9 am) for the rest of the season. The reinforcement will be organized in three phases to ensure complete coverage between May 1 and September 30, the peak season. To ensure continuous service, 11 eco-taxis will be active at night (9 pm to 5 am), and at least 7 taxis will be operational 24/7. With this initiative, Monaco is strengthening its commitment to sustainable, efficient, and resident, tourist, and international events-oriented mobility.
