Résumé:
The Direction des Affaires Maritimes in Monaco is launching a campaign to raise awareness about maritime pollution during the Grand Prix weekend.

Histoire complète :
As the Formula 1 Grand Prix approaches, the Maritime Affairs Department is raising awareness about maritime use. The weekend of the Grand Prix, starting on Friday, May 24th, brings a colossal influx of both land and maritime visitors to Monaco.

Every year, the Maritime Affairs Department (DAM) launches an awareness campaign to remind mariners of the dangers of maritime pollution. This prevention effort aims to inform sailors about “navigation safety and protection of the marine environment.”

A flyer will be distributed, providing all the necessary information for safe navigation at sea during the Grand Prix period. Additionally, this document will be sent electronically to reach as many people as possible, thanks to the Monaco Ports Exploitation Company and the Maritime and Airport Police Division.

The maritime economy is a significant activity in Monaco.

The DAM is also warning that they will be present in protected areas for several reasons: to enforce speed limits, prohibit navigation and anchoring in certain zones, regulate traffic in both ports, and verify the permits of water taxis, among other tasks.

The focus on ensuring navigational safety and protecting the marine environment highlights the commitment of Monaco to uphold these values during the Grand Prix and beyond.
