The Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, along with other government officials, recently met with Jean-Pierre Serrus, the Vice-President of the Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur region responsible for transportation. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss improving the rail service to Monaco. Talks focused on investment programs and the necessary measures to ensure efficient transportation to the Principality. Both parties expressed the importance of accessibility to Monaco by rail, as it is the main mode of transportation for thousands of daily commuters and visitors. Decisions on solutions are expected to be made this year, starting in May. The Principality and the Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur region have agreed to continue these constructive discussions in the future.
