Dolceacqua is organizing a walk to celebrate its twinning with Monaco, where participants will walk kilometers in Italy and visit three castles along the way.

The municipality of Dolceacqua, the third to be twinned with Monaco since 2023, will be hosting a walk on Saturday, September 21, 2024, to celebrate the bond between the two regions. Participants will follow the path of the three castles.
The meeting point is at Piazza Mauro in Dolceacqua at 8 am, with the option of carpooling from Monaco. After a briefing and a snack provided by the Italian town, the walk will commence at 8:45 am towards Perinaldo, which is approximately 2 hours away.
Upon reaching the destination, the group will visit the castle before embarking on a 1 hour and 15-minute hike to Apricale. Arrival in the picturesque village north of Dolceacqua is expected at 1 pm, where participants will enjoy a visit and lunch.
The walk will then proceed to Isolabona, which is about 1 hour away, for a visit to the castle. The return to Dolceacqua will begin at 5 pm.
Furthermore, as part of the World Clean Up Day, any litter found along the way will be collected. To join the walk, simply register by sending an email to communication@mairie.mc.
