Members of AS Monaco demonstrated their commitment to the community by participating in a blood drive at the Princess Grace Hospital Center. The club’s support comes at a critical time when blood donations are needed more than ever. Throughout the day, various members of the club, including coach Adi Hütter and Academy Director Sébastien Muet, took turns at the blood transfusion center. The collaboration between AS Monaco and the hospital center allows for a successful blood collection, as well as increased awareness about the importance of blood donation. Blood demand continues to rise, and while the annual blood drive organized by AS Monaco has been beneficial, the hospital center still relies on France to meet its needs. The center requires 5,000 blood units annually, with an increase in donations observed in recent years but still not enough to meet demand. However, the combined efforts of the Princess Grace Hospital Center and various Monegasque entities have led to a positive trend, with over 1,200 donations already registered in 2024. The hope is that this momentum will continue and result in a new annual record. Blood donations are crucial for treating diseases such as myelodysplasias, as well as for patients undergoing chemotherapy or experiencing hemorrhages.
