Monaco’s sports association, AS Monaco Omnisports, is preparing to celebrate its centenary. Founded in 1924, the institution has become a true sporting institution in the principality with 4,615 members across 23 sports sections. It has proudly represented the colors of Monaco on the global stage and played a significant role in the country’s sporting history. To commemorate this milestone, AS Monaco Omnisports plans to host a series of festivities throughout the year, aiming to unite and engage the Monégasque community and its neighbors. The celebrations will include a Sport Festival on June 22, featuring Olympic-style games, sports demonstrations, initiatives, entertainment, and a concert by Bigflo & Oli. The festival aims to showcase the diverse activities offered by AS Monaco Omnisports, including eSports and medieval combat. Additionally, a special centenary stamp, featuring the logo of the association and its 23 disciplines, will be released, and a limited edition book highlighting the 100-year journey of AS Monaco Omnisports will be published, with a focus on young athletes from the principality. During the Sport Festival, participants aged 8 to 16 will be invited to wear Monaco’s colors and have their photos taken for inclusion in the book. This initiative, titled “Graines de Champions” (Seeds of Champions), aims to highlight the next generation of athletes and ensure the association’s legacy continues for many years to come.
