The selected novels are as follows: Feux dans la plaine by Olivier Ciechelski, Par-delà l’oubli by Aurélien Cressely, J’ai huit ans et je m’appelle Jean Rochefort by Adèle Fugère, Un simple diner by Cécile Tlili, and La maison vénéneuse by Raphaël Zamochinikoff. On June 3, the selected authors will have the opportunity to defend their novels before the jury during a meeting in the Principality of Monaco. The students will have the summer holidays to perfect their final readings and reflect on their choice before the final vote takes place at the start of the new school year. The winner will be announced at the Prince Pierre Foundation Awards Ceremony on October 8, 2024, in Monaco. Created in 2007 in collaboration with the Department of Education and Youth Sports, the Coup de Cœur des Lycéens is awarded by the Princess Grace Foundation with a prize of 6,000 euros. This educational project aims to raise students’ awareness of the world of publishing and contemporary literature.
